Do you guys see the possibility of Dennis becoming a deeper villain? I mean, seeing that he has such a high opinion of Ludo and is taking custody of Spider and Bird (not to mention the biggest clue, Ludo's helm, a "big part of Ludo's Legacy"), I could see him becoming a bigger villain in the series, a "replacement" for Ludo as the show basically lacks a main villain right now.
(Eclipsa doesn't seem like she's being much of an enemy despite her hype of being the worst threat. She's treated like a villain and has very low morals, but with this whole "find my daughter arc", she seems like she's actually pretty ok. Not to mention, she's the true queen of Mewni right now, due to Festivia being not a real Butterfly. Toffee is presumably dead due to obvious situations. Ludo has lost his mind and is in self-exile. Currently, the worst villain is the Magic High Commission for disposing of Meteora. Btw, Meteora also doesn't look like she's an intense villain; the last we saw of her, she was turning half monster, but then again she was catching up on her memories of her childhood. Mina seems like a villain, but not an intensely focused one. She is very anti-monster but that's basically it.)
I see the lack of Dennis's motives, but there is a good one: Ludo. Dennis looks up to Ludo like a god because he was the only one strong and brave enough to leave their parents, Lord and Lady Avarius (who seem abusive as all heck). I could see Dennis causing... fatalities to their parents (foreshadowed with the fake fight that Dennis had in Ludo's residence) and then being haunted by it and/or familiarized with a new evil, deploying him into a new sense of evil. Dennis seems to be Ludo's better in a lot of ways; no desire for power, taller and stronger, can fly, adept at fighting, charismatic, and ON TOP OF THAT, he's on fair ties with Queen Moon (he helped her find Ludo end of Season 2).
What do you guys think...?
Season 3 of Svtfoe is giving me the same feel as Steven Universe Season 5. Slow, sporadic, hyped up to be a ton of energy and content but actually just a lot of filler with some storyline progression.
They both had a kick and a back entering, but so far, they've leveled off. We need more content.
And it'd be like the son of Han Solo and Eclipsa, Toffee Solo.
Kyloffee... Kyloffee... [sighs] Is that right? Someone get a thesaurus!
*Later*
Yes, I'm glad we settled on Kyloffee.
You know, “Kyloffee” isn't working for me. Toffren works. Now, prepare the chamber, I'm leading this princess hunt myself!
XD Those references
No, not cross-universal fandom!
Actually that's like the most ironic thing ever because I'm a Rick and Morty fan, and technically, everything is canon there.
No, you're saying it wrong. It's NAHR-whal blast, not Nar-WHAL blast!

For one, we got to see more Hekapoo. I think she, ahem, had a thing for Marco, before that whole thing went down. Two, we got to see some action scenes which I've been waiting for the whole season XD
Third, we got some MAJOR character development! Meteora! An interesting concept to think about is that she's either Star's great-great-etc grandmother or great-great-etc aunt. If she's a grandmother, then that could change a ton. That would mean the Butterfly lineage is related to monsters.
Also, plot twists nowadays be like "Toffee was Eclipsa's lover". We like never know nowadays. Moon specifically never said Toffee's name to Eclipsa. I went back through the transcripts. Maybe, seeing as Toffee is immortal, he actually was Eclipsa's lover... I know it's a crazy point, but it does add up. Maybe, Eclipsa accidentally killed her hubby due to giving that spell to Moon, not knowing Toffee was her target.
I mean, which Mewman made Eclipsa's painting? Did said artist know what her monster lover even looked like? It's not like they'd pose, they did kind of leave the castle.
Thoughts are appreciated.
It's far more likely that Toffee played the role of a trusted confidant/friend or squire like role for Eclipsa, rather than a lover. But that probably isn't the because Star flat out States that Toffee is dead right in front of Eclipsa and she doesn't react at all.
So it's probably more like some believe to be the case a foil to Glossaryck, his opposite if will.
What episode does Star say that in front of Eclipsa?
it's ironic that people ship Starco as hard as they did when Star and Marco were purely platonic, scraping the bottom of the barrel for every little hint about them being a thing, but yet when Kelly and Marco had an obvious moment during Lava Lake Beach, everyone just flips and says "They're just friends!"
Star and Marco were just friends, too, once!
Master Kellco shipper right here.
Honestly, I just think Mina doesn't care. She's lost her marbles. She just wants to stay dedicated to her task.

This was the non-filler I was waiting for.
Also, did anyone notice the way that Marco's mood changes immediately when Kelly asked to dance? Anyone else think that's cute?
I don't need any rap for being a Kellco shipper. All I want is to know if nobody else picked up on that XD
One, mushrooms.
Two, this was super filler. We got elaboration on Pony Head's family, but that's really it. Nothing exciting like yesterday.
I need more Kellco, by lord! It fuels me raaaage.
Filler, filler, filler.
Please give me more Kellco.
It's ironic that in Scent of a Hoodie, she cherished his hoodie so much, but now she just let Tom tear it up. I think she definitely still has feelings for Marco, but she's giving an attempt to keep it platonic.
My point. I'd like to see a friendship first. Let then stay single, and have time for a breather. But then after that, don't throw us Starco! Give us diversity!
Guys, take this approach. I was previously a Starco shipper, and after seeing how nothing became if Song Day and nothing Starco related happened in Battle for Mewni, the writers are obviously prolonging Starco as much as possible, because they know that destroying Star and Marco's platonic relationship will change the show drastically. Personally, I hated the idea of TomStar. I thought, from experience, that Star would know better than to go after her ex. Buuuut... Nobody get mad, but this would make complete sense: I'd like to see Kellco happen. Let me explain, and show you the probabilities. Starco is being pushed to season 4. It is 80-90% likely to happen because of the fan support and other variables. But, note that TomStar is now officially a thing. They're giving sound fair character development to Tom, I guess, and stuff, but why in the world would the writers bring Kelly into this? Elaborating: it's a 25% chance that the writers were like "Hey, remember Kelly from Two previous episodes? Yeah, let's randomly have her break up for no reason at all besides character development!" It's 75% likely that the writers stated "Hey, let's put Starco on the back burner for a bit. Let's let Star have her thing with Tom for a bit. Meanwhile, we have a heartbroken Marco in the midst here, what should we do about that? Oh, have him shipped with a previously viewed character? Yes... maybe... Not Pony Head (because that's weird), not Starfan13 or Janna (because they're back on Earth)... how about Kelly? She needs some story development. She's got no backstory or current storyline arc, and so her character is malleable. Let's have her slowly get closer to Marco and gain a close friendship, and then slap her TWICE in the season three intro, as many times as Pony Head or Tom." I personally would like to see Kellco. It's pretty cute, it seems doable, and honestly, I'd like to see some old-school Star-and-Marco missions (Like the sandwich one in Storm the Castle) with Marco and Kelly, seeing as Marco has the only pair of dimensional scissors. He came to Mewni as an exchange student, and the only real development on that us that now, Marco is Star's squire. He needs some missions, some fun and loose, yet organized and experience-giving tasks, and what better way to give story development to Kelly than to make them a thing. It definitely won't happen immediately. Kelly and Marco both need time to get over their breakups, but we already knew that Kelly is a close friend to Star. Not much development there. Now put her with Marco... that justifies being on the end Avengers-type shoot in the opening season 3 theme.
Also, do you think they will be able to revive Lekmet, or will they get a new chancellor or whatever he was for the commission. Would be an interesting episode to go through, seeing as Star and Moon are with them in one clip. Plus seeing Moon still in her armor makes me think there might be some good episodes where they and the commission have to take action for some reason.
It's awesome that they didn't and Lekmet died XD I'm horrible
My opinion is that Eclipsa isn't going to be a more powerful threat to Star than either of the two. Eclipsa might be powerful, but in the second season, Baby stated that Star was near Eclipsa's power. In my opinion, from my common knowledge of the teasers (and what I would do if I was head of Directing) is that Star and her will be near equal power. Though, Star, early on in the season, will form a bond with Eclipsa that she doesn't have with any of her other family members. That way, halfway or near the end of the season when Star is forced to realize that Eclipsa is bad, she won't accept it because of their relationship as friends.
That way, even if Eclipsa is weaker than Star, she has a huuuuuge advantage towards taking over, if she wanted. Eclipsa, though she seems like a character (like Rick Sanchez, to a degree), that could make a relationship and have an "irrational attatchment" that gets in the way of her true goal (which, by the way, is still unknown. For all we know, Eclipsa could be the good guy. Though, I'm pretty sure the teasers wouldn't foreshadow her being evil if she wasn't). She seems like a character that would have the Rick Sanchez disease and grow fond of Star, but we all know in the end they're going to have to battle it out. Toffee is potentially gone forever. Ludo is kind of a nuisance at this point. Eclipsa is either going to be the main villain, or the worst is yet to come... and, well, the directors could make this play out really, really smooth with Eclipsa with enough of the right content.
