Brandon Kruse is an American animation writer, storyboard artist, and director best known for his work on My Life as a Teenage Robot and The Fairly OddParents.

He is a writer/storyboard artist on Star vs. the Forces of Evil, credited for only one episode in season 2.

Early life[]

Kruse graduated from the Parsons School of Design in 1989 and soon after began working as an illustrator, book designer, art director, and comic book artist.

Career[]

Kruse's earliest professional credit was as a storyboard artist on The Tick. He has since worked as a director, storyboard artist, character/prop/background designer, and writer. His clients have included Nickelodeon, Frederator, Cartoon Network, Fox, Disney Television, Hasbro, Sony Pictures, Sunbow Entertainment, Nick Jr, and Renegade Animation.

Kruse's credits include storyboard clean-up artist on Godzilla: The Series, storyboard artist/revisionist on Family Guy, storyboard artist on Time Squad, The Fairly OddParents, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Bravest Warriors, character/prop designer on Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?, writer and storyboard artist on My Life as a Teenage Robot, storyboard supervisor on The Replacements, and director on Fanboy & Chum Chum. Recently, he has done work as a storyboard artist on Transformers: Robots in Disguise.

Kruse received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his work on My Life as a Teenage Robot in 2006 and an Annie Award nomination for The Fairly OddParents in 2010. He also serves on the board of Open Figure Drawing and has been a presenter at A Sense of Drawing 2014 and 2015.
