Brian Edmund Posehn is an American actor, voice actor, musician, writer, and comedian known for his roles as Jim Kuback on The WB's Mission Hill and Brian Spukowski on Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Program.

He voices Lobster Claws in Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

Early life[]

Posehn was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He is of German and Irish descent. Posehn graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1984. He attended college at Sacramento State University.

Career[]

Posehn began with guest appearances and mainly small roles in TV shows. He was on 28 episodes of Mr. Show with Bob and David, a sketch comedy series on HBO. He appeared in a 1996 episode of Friends, he appeared as two different characters in NewsRadio, and he appeared in an episode of Seinfeld. Posehn also wrote the Space Ghost: Coast to Coast episode "Cahill" with Ben Karlin. He also appeared on 29 episodes of the NBC series Just Shoot Me! He played Jim in The WB's Mission Hill, Del Swanson in MTV's 3 South, and the Wisdom Cube in Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Posehn performed the voice of Gibbons on several episodes of Cartoon Network's Tom Goes to the Mayor. He also appeared in the 2005 pilot for The Showbiz Show with David Spade and played a mortician in several episodes of Comedy Central's Reno 911! He co-starred on The Sarah Silverman Program with Steve Agee and also wrote the season three finale.

Posehn's movie appearances include 2003's Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd and Grind, 2005's The Devil's Rejects, Sleeping Dogs Lie, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and 2007's Surf's Up.

In 2002, Posehn appeared on Comedy Central Presents, followed by the release of 2005's The Comedians of Comedy. Posehn's debut comedy album Live In: Nerd Rage was released in 2006. 2010, he released his second album Fart and Wiener Jokes. In 2013, he released his third comedy album and first DVD, The Fartist.
