Carlos Ramos is an American animation writer, storyboard artist, designer, and director known for creating The X's and for his work on Time Squad, ChalkZone, and Descendants: Wicked World.

He was a writer/storyboard artist on Star vs. the Forces of Evil, credited for only two episodes in season 1.

Early life[]

Ramos graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 1998 with a B.F.A. in character animation.

Career[]

Ramos has been a show creator, art director, and writer for over 18 years being employed by Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network. He is best known for creating the Nickelodeon animated series The X's. His other professional credits include serving as writer on Time Squad, art director and character/background designer on ChalkZone, writer and storyboard artist on Dexter's Laboratory, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, character designer on Dave the Barbarian, The Ricky Gervais Show, and Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, and layout artist on The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie!

Ramos was the recipient of an Annie Award in 1998 for his work on ChalkZone and nominated for another Annie Award in 2007 for his work on The X's. He is also an accomplished painter of fine art, having had his art featured in The Corey Helford Gallery, Copro Gallery, Gallery 1988, I Am 8-Bit, La Luz De Jesus Gallery, and Rotofugi.
