"Gone Baby Gone" is the twenty-eighth episode of the fourth season of Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

It premiered on April 28, 2019 alongside "Beach Day".

Synopsis

Marco misplaces both Mariposa and Meteora somewhere in Hekapoo's dimension.

Plot

The episode starts off with Marco and Star in the Diaz household babysitting for Eclipsa, with him watching over Meteora and Mariposa. As he puts the two infants to sleep, Hekapoo suddenly appears, informing Marco that something is amiss on Mewni and that he stay on Earth. Marco relays this information to Star, who is just as puzzled. Remembering Eclipsa asked for a photo of the babies, the two return only to find Hekapoo left a portal open, and that the babies are missing.

Marco and Star venture into Hekapoo's dimension, realizing that a lot of time has passed. Marco calls Brunzetta and asks her for help, to which she responds that a sage named "Old Irma" could help them. Star and Marco depart, leaving Brunzetta behind. The two find Old Irma, and ask for her assistance. Old Irma suddenly attacks them using magic, and is revealed to actually be Meteora and Mariposa, now teenagers due to the time differences. Meteora attacks while in her Mewberty form, but Mariposa quickly stops the battle upon realizing Star can use magic.

Meteora and Mariposa introduce themselves as "Grob" and "Bork". They invite Star and Marco into their home, and give them soup. The soup knocks the two out, however, and the girls carry them up a mountain. There, they call a magic-eating demon named Wyscan the Granter, offering to trade Star in order to give Mariposa magic. Marco wakes up, and talks Mariposa out of the deal. The girls back down, forcing Mariposa and Marco to fight him. The two defeat him, and Marco finally convinces Mariposa they're brother and sister. Star and Marco offer to bring the girls back home, but they refuse, claiming they're happy with the life they built. They are only convinced when Marco informs them of all the foods available on Earth. Meteora and Mariposa agree to returning home upon the promise that they will get to grow up together again.
