Gwendoline See-Hian Yeo (simplified Chinese: 杨时贤; traditional Chinese: 楊時賢; pinyin: Yáng Shíxián) is an American actress and musician best known for her roles as Xiao-Mei in the Desperate Housewives and Dr. Kelly Lee in General Hospital.

She voices Mrs. Liao in Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

Early life

Born in Singapore, Yeo is the niece of George Yeo, former Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs. She moved to California as a teenager, graduating with honors from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 1994. Yeo graduated summa cum laude from UCLA in 1997 and also earned a diploma in Classical Piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Yeo was crowned Miss Asian America in 1995 and also named Miss Chinatown USA in 1998-1999.


Yeo played Xiao-Mei in Desperate Housewives, and Dr. Kelly Lee in General Hospital. Her other past appearances include television series 24, JAG, NYPD Blue and The O.C.. Yeo also guest starred in an episode of Hannah Montana and Chuck. Yeo is the voice actress of Paine in Final Fantasy X-2 and Kingdom Hearts II. She also voices Lady Deathstrike in X-Men: Next Dimension, Mercy Graves in The Batman, Li-en in Zatch Bell!, and Lieutenant Keiko Tanaka in an episode of What's New, Scooby-Doo? She has also appeared in the films Night Skies and The Perfect Girl. In the film Broken Trail, Yeo played "Sun Foy". In 2007, she played Dr. Samantha Yep in The Jane Austen Book Club.

Recently, Yeo was cast as Shinigami in Nickelodeon's 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series.
