Keone Joseph Young is an American actor and voice actor known for playing guest roles on numerous television series, particularly as Asian characters in his voice work.

He provides additional voices in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, including the elderly Japanese driver in "Brittney's Party".

Early life[]

Young was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a Chinese father and Japanese mother. His acting mentor was Mako Iwamatsu.

Career[]

Young has been prolific in his character work and made numerous guest appearances on such varied television series as Diff'rent Strokes, The Golden Girls, Murphy Brown, Wikipedia:Mad About You, Family Matters, Futurama, The Simpsons, Alias, JAG, The Steve Harvey Show, Zeke and Luther, Shake It Up: Made In Japan and on the daytime soap operas The Young and the Restless, Generations, and General Hospital.

Young played Dr. Michael Kwan on the short-lived medical drama Kay O'Brien He was also a semi-regular on HBO's Deadwood as Mr. Wu and on FX's Sons of Anarchy as Henry Lin's uncle. He also played Mr. Wu (unrelated to the Deadwood character) in Men in Black 3 and Ellison Onizuka in the TV film Challenger.

Young has many voiceover credits as well: Jake's grandfather Luong Lao Shi in American Dragon: Jake Long, Kaz Harada in Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Mr. Sanban in Codename: Kids Next Door, firebending master Jeong Jeong in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Storm Shadow in Sunbow's G.I. Joe animated series, the Hard Master in G.I. Joe: Renegades, Lord Qin in Mulan II, Mr. Wu (unrelated to the similarly named characters above) on Nickelodeon's The Mighty B!, the Silver Samurai in Wolverine and the X-Men, Sensei in Young Justice, Martin Li/Mr. Negative in Ultimate Spider-Man, and Commander Sato in Star Wars Rebels.

In theatre, Young has had a long history with the Asian American theatre company East West Players in Los Angeles, where he not only performed but often served as producer.
