Hi. Do you think you can help me? I tried adding Etheria to Moon's family section. The editing process seemed too complicated to me. I tried anyways but I messed up and now the expand button doesn't work.
I will unlock Tom's page for editing for now, Jess-the-vampire, but the reason it was locked before is because you were repeatedly adding images improperly, adding the page to categories it does not belong in, and constantly adding information/trivia that was deemed meaningless. If such edits continue, I'll have no choice than to lock the page down again.
In the spells section, i added the canon info, provided by the crew, that the spells all perished and only creatures who had been made of organic material survived.
This was something the crew explained themselves and talked about.
They explained more on who died and didn't die, making that grey area less grey.
What about that info was meaningless and meant the page needed to be locked? That sounds like kinda critically important information that should've been on the page but kept getting removed for no explained reason, and then the page got locked to prevent that critcal canon info from being there.
"These are spells star does" is meaningles info, people don't need to know something that obvious.
i'm sure the crew talking about their fates and why they would die would make it meaningful information that people should know about because it wasn't explained in the show.
I have to ask because if you claim everything i add is somehow meaningless, then it's worth asking how you dictate what makes something meaningless information because it's not entirely clear.
I mean if info provided on the fates of characters is not meaningful then how is anyone going to know what is worth putting on?
I have to ask because there's no clear basis on what info is important enough to allow or not, it just isn't apparently.
If you don't explain what about an image doesn't work and don't explain what makes info "Meaningful", then people are going to make the same mistakes over and over, it doesn't feel like you'd have to lock any pages if you simply gave more information for what you're looking for on pages or the wiki in general.
I'd like this wiki to look great and do great, but in a lot of cases things seem to be removed and given no explanantion as to why they were, and then they're blocked even though no one has any idea what they did wrong because they got no explaination.
I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, i'm saying this because it's confusing most of the time and i don't think i'm the only one confused.
There's not a clear idea of which spells survived and which spells didn't, even with the info the show staff provided. We know that beings like the Magic High Commission and Doop-Doop didn't survive, and we know that Pony Head and the laser puppies did. So what is the determinator for what qualifies as "organic material"? (As far as we know, the laser puppies were created from magic, not normal puppies that were given the ability to shoot lasers.)
Info given by one writer and info given by another can contradict each other, so it's difficult to determine which is more reliable.
Don't get me wrong, i know it's confusing too because the team didn't really seem to clearly plan any of this out.
As far as what they've said though, all the spells? Dead.
If anything was organic, they maybe i guess survived (I only say this because that's what they claim, even though unicorns survive in cleaved but not in BFM when magic died).
It's at least worth having there even if you do have to add that it's unclear in places.
I've made the same complaints about consistency within the series, trust me, it annoys me just as much that the crew killed magic and then had no clear answer (Or made up an answer) as to save characters offscreen.
But it still deserves a mention, espocially since the spells themselves are indeed dead even if other random stuff star made is somehow not.
About the page on Hekapoo, that part u said on her deserving the hug should be in the comments section, its not legal to put in personal opinion right in Trivia. Please don't repeat it(Just trying to keep ya out of a potential fix so i'll rectify that)
Image code (the text that begins with "File:" and ends with ".png") should be placed at the beginning of a paragraph, not before a paragraph (like this) or in the middle of a paragraph (like this). And the thumbnail should be of standard thumbnail width, without the resizing modifier that ends with "px".
Festivia33 wrote: Who exactly is Eclipsa and why is it not in the villain category of this Wiki, even though it is always said to be bad???Is it really bad?
Eclipsa was a queen from mewni who was around 300 years ago, however, she was frozen as her punishment and got unfrozen in s3
However, it's believed Eclipsa was never really evil and the reason people saw her as evil was a combination of being married to a monster war criminal, having spells that were considered dark and dangerous, and abandoning the kingdom and her arranged marriage to raise a family with her monster during a war.
There's a lot of reason to believe eclipsa did some shady stuff and her spells are incredibly strange and dangerous, but overall throughout the series, eclipsa is treated more like a "Misunderstood Puppy", she's never actually done anything outright "Evil" as she never has attacked the main characters or tried to take over the kingdom or any of that.
It's treated more like everyone just treats her like she's evil because she fell in love with a monster and did things that weren't "Normal" for the butterfly kingdom. Basically the show paints her as a victim that history treats as evil because she was different and was punished for no reason overall.
She's not exactly a good guy, as she does screw up and her history and actions can be incredibly shady, but she's never really a villain.
i've been adding stuff to a lot of other places as well, but you're making it sound like i do nothing but the lucitor stuff and that's an issue somehow i guess? Even though, it's not really an issue if the recent episodes gave us new information to add?
Tom's kinda a main character, his family got to be in recent episodes, and so is his home. Is it now a problem that i added information we learned now from those episodes?
Sorry, i'm just very confused cause you seem to be kinda treating it as a problem and I don't exactly see what the issue is since i'm not really doing anything wrong.
Just pointing out what I've observed to be kind of a weird fixation. Plus, some of the info you've been adding is vague (for example, claiming that "going through the family album" is one of Wrathmelior's likes based on a single instance of her doing so).
i don't know how it's a weird fixiation, if tom has had things in recent episodes i can add to him and other articles.
We went to the underworld twice recently, got to know tom's family recently, and learned further things about tom and the enviroment he lives in enough to add some other detials that were left out.
Yeah, but she also got REALLY excited about it and the episode also implies she made the album herself and took all the pictures. So it looks to me like the album seems to be something that does mean a lot to her, as well as taking pictures of important memories.
I mean, based on that logic Tom enjoying surfing shouldn't be on his page because we've only seen him surf once.
The episode doesn't need to spit it out, you can kinda get a feeling for what a character likes judging by how they react or from other detials in the episode.
