Though I want to know why people buy into that Marco is transgirl theory, I took a look at it myself and it's filled with LGBT self fufillment, I don't see any points that could be argued, and just add up to cartoon humor or coincidences.
If anything trying to prove that theory is a disservice to the character and an insult to the creator.
It's misinterpretation of the "Princess Marco" theme. The moral Daron wanted to show is that specific gender roles are wrong and outdated. Even though Marco admitted to being a boy, the students of St. Olga's still consider him a princess, because gender shouldn't prevent someone from being something. To give an easy example, it's like how in the old days only women were nurses, because that was a role society associated with that gender. Not so much nowadays as there are tons of male nurses. Same thing in the show. Even though the title of princess is female specific, the students rally against that old way of thinking and ignore it.
Well tbh, I've never seen the episode(it'll come to bite me later on I guarentee it), but the lesson I do understand. But in the time between the replies I think I understand why I'm so salty about the theory,
1. It makes it a hassle dealing with those who believe it to be fact(like today).
And 2. the theory has no value to the character or the show in general, the only value it would add to the show and/or character, is representation of the LGBT community. Nothing would change besides Marco's identity, he'd still overall be the same. The theory isn't necessary.
either that or I just typed my own noose. And killed any chance to make an ally, or on good terms peer.
Well anything affecting Marco’s identity would affect his character growth/development. It would be the same as the various lessons he’s learned over the course of the series (like in Trial by Squire he learned to moderate obsession when it began hurting people).
True. I'm not even sure myself, sometimes even I have no idea what I'm talking about, but important thing is that the problem has been solved, Marco's article has been locked by the admin and our work is done.
