"Pixtopia" is the twelfth episode of the first season of Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
The episode premiered on June 15, 2015 alongside "Mewberty".[1]
Synopsis
Marco and his friends travel to a dimension of pixies and are forced to work off their debt in the Shard Mines after they run up Star's Magic Mirror bill with prank phone calls.[2]
Plot
Marco, Alfonzo, and Ferguson are having fun making interdimensional prank calls with Star's magic mirror, with Ferguson assuming the role of "King Fergon of Fergustan". When Star enters and attempts to join in, an automated message from the Pixie Mirror Office says that Star's magic mirror minutes have been exceeded and she must visit the office in Pixtopia to resolve her bill. Using Star's dimensional scissors, Star and Marco travel to Pixtopia, and Alfonzo and Ferguson tag along.
In Pixtopia, the four are greeted by the adorable pixies, and they go to the Pixie Mirror Office. When Marco tries to pay Star's magic mirror bill with Earth money, the customer service pixie says they only accept gold and jewels and they must work off the bill in the Shard Mines. A trapdoor opens underneath Star, Marco, Ferguson, and Alfonzo, dropping them into the mines. The taskmaster pixie immediately puts them to work alongside a minotaur and a wizard. Star tries to fight back against the taskmaster, but the mines cancel out her magic powers. When Ferguson intervenes, the pixies take him away.
Ferguson is brought before the Pixie Empress, who becomes instantly taken with him. Back in the mines, Alfonzo collapses from inhaling too much pixie dust. Marco decides they need to escape and save Ferguson. Using a nearby mine cart, Star, Marco, Alfonzo, and their fellow mine workers escape through the mine tunnels, and the pixies follow after them. After a lengthy mine cart chase, Star and her friends eventually give the pixies the slip and end up in the Pixie Empress' throne room, where dozens of other pixies have assembled and Ferguson is being pampered like royalty.
Ferguson tells them that they are just in time for his wedding to the Pixie Empress. Marco objects, mentioning that Ferguson is too young for this kind of commitment. Ferguson realizes that Marco is right. However, when he calls off the wedding, the Pixie Empress orders her soldiers to kill them all. As Alfonzo and Ferguson retreat to hide, Star and Marco fight the pixies off. Now able to use her magic, Star eventually blows the pixies back with a blast of freezing air. With the pixies immobilized, Star and her friends escape back to Earth.
Back in Star's bedroom, Star decides to switch service providers on her magic mirror. Marco feels guilty that they ruined Ferguson's one chance at love, but Star assures him that the Pixie Empress was not in love with Ferguson—she just wanted to eat him. Meanwhile, Alfonzo, having apparently been left behind in Pixtopia, is seen marrying the Pixie Empress, and he harbors thoughts of being a tyrannical pixie king.
