Soupina Butterfly, also known as Soupina the Strange,[1] was one of the former queens of Mewni. She was mentioned in Star and Marco's Guide to Mastering Every Dimension and Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells.

History[]

Soupina Butterfly was one of the first 25 queens of Mewni. Soupina used her magic to make soup and was awarded the title of "The Strange."[1] Because of a fire that occurred during the coronation of Skywynne Butterfly, her history and that of the other 25 rulers, including Lyric Butterfly, was lost.[2]

Powers and abilities[]

  • Royal Magic Wand: As a former queen of Mewni, Soupina once possessed the Royal Magic Wand. The only ability that she is known to have exhibited while the wand was in her possession was to make soup.

Trivia[]

  • During Dirhhennia Butterfly's chapter of Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells, she mentions that her mother, Festivia Butterfly, warned her of becoming just like Soupina. Dirhhennia relented that she didn't believe that Soupina was real.[2]
  • Moon Butterfly was apparently infatuated with Soupina, having talked about her in great lengths with Star Butterfly.[1]
  • Soupina is one of two former queens of Mewni to have been mentioned but not seen, the other being Lyric Butterfly.
