History[]
In Interdimensional Field Trip, Star takes her classmates on a tour to another dimension using her dimensional scissors. In the episode, Janna views the creature while it knits inside of its glass enclosure. She remarks on how boring it seemed to be and walked away just before Ferguson and Alfonzo accidentally break the class, which set it free from its enclosure.
Later, it is revealed that the creature had captured all of the students and tied them up in large cocoons that looked like socks. In a nearby cave. After Star, Marco, and Miss Skullnick arrive to save them, the creature returns, and so they engage in combat. Miss Skullnick fought the creature while Star and Marco evacuated the students. Eventually, the creature grabbed and ate Miss Skullnick, but she quickly broke free from its body, holding a piece of its thread in hand. She had attached a paperclip to the end of it, and then tied the end to "the universe's most immovable post." She then ran to the school bus where all the children had taken refuge. She demanded that they start the bus, and so they did, the creature in hot pursuit. As the creature chased them, it progressively unwound, until it was nothing but a single threat of string.
Powers and abilities[]
- Yarn physiology: The creature is entirely made of yarn, which gives it the ability to manipulate its body. This was demonstrated when it changed its form to that of a giant scorpion, when it quickly rearranged itself to dodge attacks, and when it changed forms while chasing after Miss Skullnick.
