This is just a crazy theory, but re-watching Blood Moon Ball, Star and Marco danced in the Moonlight....but also Tom and Marco were seen in the moonlight together. If it supposedly binds souls together, does this mean that Tom may become a more major character in the upcoming season? He already has a connection to Star and is sort of starting to form a friendship or rivalship with Marco...
I'm curious to see where this goes.
